Calling all "Sandys"

We are about to start casting our "Sandy" for Annie. I am taking applications on my blog (mainly for funsies, but if you live near Tuscaloosa feel free to "apply" for real) We are actually going to audition the real applicants! So fun.

As most of you know, I LOVE DOGS! I just do. Especially the ones with beards and clothes. Put a sweater on a dog and I am sold.

I am hoping to find a Westie, because they are my new favorite dog breed. As seen here:

I also would not mind a nice Labradoodle, like this

Please include the following with your application:

1. Owner's Name
2. City
3. Age of Dog
4. Breed
5. Is your dog good with children?
6. Does your dog do tricks? If so, what?
7. Can your dog sit on command?
8. How cute is your dog on a scale of 1-10
9. E-mail me a picture and date/time you would like for he/she to audition.

That should do it. Living with 2 different schnauzers, I can say that they probably would not make a good Sandy, but I'm uploading a picture anyway.

In the News....

Right now, there are two stories in the news that I am fascinated with.

1) Casey Anthony
2) Octuplet Mom

First of all, Casey Anthony. I mean, really? Do we need to have a trial here? There is nothing she has said or done to make me think she DIDN'T kill her child. She is so guilty! They have released thousands of pages of evidence and documents online. I think I have read half. I dont know why, but I guess having this much inside information on a case is fascinating. There are pictures of her out partying with friends after Caylee disappeared. I am appauled someone could be like this.

Here is picture of her in court. At least PRETEND that you didnt do it!

That brings me to Octuplet Mom. I'm sure you all have seen the interviews with her and how silly and irresponsible the whole thing is. I just wanted to post these pictures of her belly holding 8 babies. WOW.

Feel free to discuss. I am obsessed with both of these stories.

Izabelle is ONE!!

Happy 1st Birthday Izabelle!

We had our niece, Izabelle's 1st Birthday at our house yesterday. Izabelle is Brent's brother Glenn's baby. She requested a Winnie the Pooh party and she got it.

She has this precious "stance" that she just recently learned. She stood like this for the first 5 minutes. Then, she struck her "jazz hands" move.

My favorite part of the entire party, was that she literally opened her own gifts. I thought when you are one, you dont really know how yet, but she proved me wrong. When she got to the gift she would yell out "OOHHHHHHHH" like it was the best thing she had ever seen. We would die laughing every single time. So cute.

What a precious baby she is. We just love her. I can't wait to see Hayes after this day of Baby Bliss.

Valentine's Day..just a little late

I know that this is a week late, but I just realized I never blogged about our first married Valentine's Day and it was too good not to mention.

It started for both of us about 2 weeks ago when we decided not to give each other V-day gifts, but buy this awesome steam dryer that is supposed to "change your life" with drying clothes. Basically, you dont' have to iron anymore! Hallelujah!

Well, B is too sweet not to do anything at all, so on Friday, I recieve a dozen red roses at work from Brent wishing me a Happy First Married Valentine's Day. He's so sweet. Friday night, we went to see Slumdog Millionaire by several people's recommendations. I have to say, although the movie is good and very well made, it made me too sad. I felt the same way about "Pursuit of Happiness". When the characters struggle (hard) the whole way through the movie, I cannot enjoy it. Sorry.

On Saturday morning, I got up and made a special breakfast of muffins and sausage. They were the cinnamon streussal muffins that have the sugarey stuff on the top. I LOVE THEM!

We spent the rest of the day just laying around, being lazy and playing. That night we went to our favorite restaurant, Cypress Inn. We had a nice gift certificate so the whole night was FREE! Excellent! Then we stopped by the Globe (another restaurant) to see if any friends were there..They were. We got to see Bill and Ava & Carrie and Adam on their V-day dates. Good times all around!

I love my Valentine!

And the award goes to....

Tatiana Del Toro for the Most Annoying Person EVER award!! ahha ahaa ahaa...UGH.

So, Season 8 of American Idol is back and we are watching. Although, if this girl makes it much further, I dont know if I can continue watching. She makes me crazy. She is so desperate to be famous that she will say and do anything on top of this annoying laugh.

America, please vote for anyone else.

Love it

This is my new favorite product: The Neutrogena Clear Pore Mask/Cleanser. I tend to break out with over-the-counter products like such. I tried this out at a friend's house and LOVED the way my face felt afterwards. I also have not broken out. Its a miracle! Its goes on like a mask, but can also serve as a cleanser. It has that cooling, refreshing effect and makes you feel SO clean. I really love it. Washing my face it not my favorite activity at night, but this makes it much more exciting!

I secretly hope a representative from Neutrogena reads this post and offers me a lifetime supply for promoting their product...just sayin.

Annie

Our newest project in the Jones family is "Annie Jr." with Tuscaloosa Children's Theatre. Brent is directing, I am choreographing, Zoe is "Tessie" and Carly will be the handler of "Sandy" when we get one.

It is going really well. I am amazed at how quickly the orphans are picking things up. Kids are actually better with acting directions than adults. Its because they have no fear. They aren't embarrassed or "too cool" yet to just give it their all.

This show is especially exciting for me because it has been my favorite since I was in kindergarten. I came home everyday from kindergarten and watched the movie. I knew every single word and every single song like the back of my hand. (still do) I would also eat strawberries and powdered sugar every day too- but thats just a sidenote.

The show opens the last weekend in March at the Bama Theatre. Come see it if you can!
Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Colossians 3: 12-14
