ROAR!

Our precious Baker Man turned 3 and we celebrated with a Dinosaur Party on Saturday. I have to say, after much planning and prep, it was a success!

Addie got to come!

A shot of "dinosaurs in a blanket" and "dinosaur toenails". Not pictured is the prehistoric dip and in the back you can see "hot lava rocks" or cake pops that I attempted. They tasted better than they looked, ok?
 My sweet birthday boy!

It's always a party when Mr. Ish comes! Baker wasn't even sure what to do when he saw him, so he made him a burger from his grill.
Digging for fossils. Let me tell you, the sandbox at this party was a HIT. I only wish I had bought a bigger one.

Abbie is one of Baker's very best friends. These two are hilarious together.

These two are also best friends!

We even had a dinosaur egg hunt. Each egg had a tiny dinosaur inside. The kids got to keep the ones they found.

 Silly Mr. Ish.

 Hayesie looking for her eggs.
 Katherine lived in the sandbox.

 "I'm a ninja turtle"!

Sweet cousins. So rare to have them all looking forward and with decent facial expressions.

I was so pleased with how it all turned out. We were blessed with great weather again this year and thank goodness, because all that dinosaur fun could not have been had in our garage.

I am thankful for a healthy, hilarious, smart and precious boy. I am more than greatful to be his mom. He makes life so so sweet.

Surprise Party

As you know, Brent and Baker share the same birthday which happens to be October 21st. Since Baker's birth, poor Brent's b-day has been somewhat overshadowed. I am guilty of being preoccupied with planning a little boy party and not a big boy party. So this year I decided to throw him off with an early surprise celebration with our friends at the perfect place. He loves football and wings, so I had friends meet us at Wings U.

I was worried because a few couples backed out the day of, several people are in rehearsals, ect. and I was scared the crowd would be small, but it was perfect and everyone was on time!

 The early birthday boy!

Fun times on a Monday night!

Busy, busy weekend with 2 birthday parties, company, a baby shower and a wedding. All fun though.
I only took pictures at Lexi's birthday party on Sunday. What a cute lil pumpkin party!

The Village and McWane

2 weekends ago, I spent the weekend on the loveliest village on the plains. It was indeed, lovely.

We held our annual "Girls Weekend" in Auburn and went to the LSU game. I have to say that I was glad we picked that game. It was a nail biter the entire time. I was proud of the Tigers for making it a game until the last play. War Eagle!

So glad I got to hang out with my bestie too!
The Friday Tailgate!
Vince, Phillip, Molly and Me. Its NEVER a trip without seeing Phillip. Top 3 funniest people in the world. True story.

Fast forward to last weekend. We wanted to take Baker to the McWane Center since we had a wedding in Birmingham Sat. night anyway. All 3 of us had an unexpected wonderful time.  I know the McWane Center is cool and I even took Bake when he was 18 months, but this time he could really "do" things and it was just like a tiny dream come true for this little guy. I'm so glad we did it.

We got to pet stingrays and small sharks!
 Digging for fossils.
Pull the rope and a giant bubble forms around you.

We have a big/full weekend up ahead too. I love the fall!

Chef of the Week

Our very own, Baker Jones, was chosen as the "Chef of the Week" at school which was oh so cute.

We were given a specific treat to make to bring for our class. Since it is farm week, we were asked to do piggy cupcakes.

So, I documented the experience.

This is not an "Oh, he blinked as I was taking the picture" situation. This was his chosen face. One we get often when he is being silly. I am ready for the eyes closing for pictures phase to end.
 Cute right?
The proud chef!
 Serving his friends.
To make matters even cuter, he got to come to my office and pass out the leftover pigs to my co-workers. I think I was more excited than he was, honestly. I love his new class so much for reasons like this. As new subjects arise, a new chef will be chosen. Love it.

In other news:

Did you hear? It's fall! Get your pumpkins out people!

Family Weekend

We got to spend the weekend with Glenn, Beth, Izabelle and rest of the Jones' clan for the majority of the weekend. We had a great time. We played some dress up...
Izabelle asked to do a photo shoot and wasn't playing around with the poses.

 Made some goop.
I love this Izabelle photo bomb. Baker does not look amused.

Put that goop on our bellies.
Happy to have a cousin in town!

I want them to move closer ASAP!

P.S. Too bad Auburn is quaterback-ly challenged this year. Geez Lou-freakin' uise.

Labor Day Weekend

We took our last beach hoorah for Labor Day last weekend and it was glorious. My parents went with us and even kept Baker for Brent and I to have some time away at the beach. Relaxation was just what I needed.

Bake loved this vintage matching game that my mom brought.

We took him for a few airplane rides at Pier Park.

I wish I had a picture of some of our Seaside adventures Sunday night. We ran into Zaccheuas and Natalie at Bud and Alley's and witness a tween local dig in the trash can. You can't beat that.
War Eagle!
Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Colossians 3: 12-14
