Good Friday

Its hard for me to think of Good Friday as being good, but my church has a Good Friday service that is good..and relevant..and emotional. I love going to it to appreciate the true meaning of Easter. My facebook status today was borrowed from our college member who said:

The Joy of Easter can only be as deep as the devastation of Friday.

And that rings so true. We cannot celebrate Easter without first recognizing the weight that Friday holds.

With that being said, Baker had a sweet egg hunt and party at school today. They made their "baskets" and had fun in the courtyard.

Everthing was going well until I saw Baker get something from the ground, eat it and then spit it back out. It was a jelly bean that had already been chewed up and spit out. Happy Easter!

Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Colossians 3: 12-14
