Celebrate! Part 1

If you haven't heard, we have had quite the celebration this weekend! My boys share birthdays on October 21st and I refused to let the chaos of our life prevent me from celebrating them and making them feel special. I rushed home from rehearsal Thursday night to hang the birthday banner, blow up a few balloons and set out presents for Brent and Baker.

Friday morning was still a little early for Bake to be in the party mood.
Brent requested sausage casserole and Baker requested pancakes and got to blow out his candle. He clearly didn't remember what to do with candles and needed a tutorial.

Oh, this is super fun, mom!He got to open a present from us (books) since he already recieved his big gift a couple months ago.

Then we had a very small (and I do mean very small) party at school. I brought some mini cupcakes, stuck some candles on them and we celebrated at school with our friends. This time he felt confident in blowing them out..too bad we accidentally got trick candles.

I picked him early from school to take him to the park to play. It was fun to just hang out, the two of us and we were the only ones on the playground which is always nice. Friday night we squeezed in a fiesta right before my rehearsal. Baker loved his birthday sombrero and dessert.Saturday, Baker and I headed to Birmingham to hang out with Shug, Daggy, Nathan, Amy, Hayes and Watson. Brent took one for the team and stayed behind to clean out the attic. (yea) It was a great day to play in the playhouse. Baker's current obsession: Hayes Kennedy. He follows her everywhere she goes and has a panic attack if she is out of sight. He copies everything she does. They play so well together which I am thankful for.

Stay tuned for the birthday bash! I am saving that for a separate post.

Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Colossians 3: 12-14
