One year!

Saturday we celebrated one year for Mr. Watson. He had such a nice party at home with great food and fun for the kids. He is such a smiley boy who loves his Mommy and eating. He has a great scoot that gets him from point A to point B very quickly. He is also walking now! Love you Watsy! We had fun at your party.

This was a rare moment captured of both H and B looking at the camera while Daggy reads.

This is my sweet grandmother, Honey. She will be celebrating her 80th in a couple of weeks with a big shindig. She is a treasure. I'm glad she came to the party.

Baker has discovered an abacus and apparently missed the abacus boat. He played with this for hours this weekend. Who knew? And no, I would not have remembered the word "abacus" on my own. I had help from Elizabeth.

And some random fun at home. We have been playing a lot of hide-and-seek lately, which is surprisingly fun for Brent and I too. I hid in Brent's extra large duffle bag yesterday and Baker thought that was funny. So, I was about to put him in the bathtub last night and I caught this:

This just makes me laugh because he slipped right as I was taking the picture. He is fine, but it still makes me laugh.

Biscoff Spread

One thing you should know about me is, if I get a food in my head that I want, there is no waiting. I obtain said food quickly.

For example: I have been seeing this Biscoff spread on Pinterest and I thought it might be the same as the cookies (which are served on Delta flights and super delicious). Today Plain Chicken had a Biscoff Ooey Gooey Butter cake recipe that was calling my name already.

After confirming with my cousin Claire I knew this was going to be dangerous. Claire gave it that extra push it requires to force me to buy it today.

So, on my lunch hour I went to Publix to buy apples and this spread. Just in case I didnt like it on apples I also bought Keebler Wheatables, Nut Crisp.

Dangerous it is. It did not disappoint. It is the consistency of peanut butter, but a "cookie butter". Really?
To report- Its good on apples, but GREAT on the Nut Crisps!
Thanks for the new obsession Claire!

A story of Toms...

I am THAT person who first saw TOMS and thought they were so ugly and they were such a fad and that college girls everywhere would look back on and say "wow, those shoes are awful! why did we ever wear them?". However, I fully admit to crossing over to the dark side. ESPECIALLY Tiny Toms for toddlers. I debated for a while and decided Baker needed these:

I folded under the evil marketing pressures that these Tiny Toms posses. I love them.

With that being said, I decided to try them out on him this weekend. Wouldn't you know, Baker resisted these tiny shoes as if they were made of knives and poison. I have no idea why. He kicked so hard, but I forced them on him. Once they were on he said "I don't like them. They are uncumfable". What? How does he even know to say that? He has never said anything was uncomfortable in his life. Just so you know, the inside of these are made of some sort of soft, cushy heaven material. They are also a little big on him so I know they aren't tight.

In other Baker cuteness- Over the weekend, Licorice scratched him twice and he was very offended. He said Licorice needed to go to time out. So, to humor him, we put Licorice in time-out. His face lit up like a Christmas tree. He was so happy to finally have someone else in the house have to go there. Sadly we forgot about him and about an hour later Baker said, "Licorice is in time-out". WHOOPS. We let him out and Baker followed him around saying "Scratch me Licorice, scratch me" just so he would have to go back in time out.

Another new development has been his cute way of transitioning from sentences like "Play toys Mommy" to "Do you wanna play with Tata Head, Mommy?" and if I ask him the same he will say "Yes, I do" or "OH YEAHHHHH". This probably doesn't translate on just how sweet it is, but trust me, it made my weekend.

He continues to serenade us with songs he has written and phrases we did not teach him. Watching a toddler grow and change is the most fun ever. Period.

Valentines Day!

I really love Valentines Day. Always have. I had so much fun this year with Baker's class Valentines and the grandparents cards and Brent's surprise. It was a good one. So, to re-cap. Baker was sent home Monday with a "stomach virus" but I am still not convinced that is what it was. He acted completely normal, was still eating and drinking and not running a fever. This is not characteristic of his normal stomach viruses. Alas, we were not allowed to come to school on V'day. Not a bad deal.

It gave us plenty of time to prep for Brent's surprise.

He is always wanting us to come to his school or come have lunch with him. We usually never get a chance to because of our schedules. So, yesterday was the perfect day. I showed up with some V'day loot.

He was surprised to see us!

Of course Brent wanted to show off his little man to his co-workers.

I win! Not to mention the spa gift certificate I have waiting for me.

We even got to go on a date to our favorite place in town, Cypress Inn!

As for Baker, he missed his class party which I was sad about, but we had more fun I think. Last week we made a little something special for the grandparents. It was more homeade but this gives you an idea...

And some other fun pics from our shoot...

Projects and Bouncing

I wanted to post my newly painted kitchen table. It is gray, but it looks blue to me. Does it to you? I haven't distressed it yet and I haven't decided if I'm going to nor have I decided how I feel about it. We are still getting to know each other.

This is the completed V'day wreath. I really love how it turned out.

I have been meaning to slowly post pics of our new house and certain things I love about it. It just has some decorating left to do (like ALL the drapes) so I hesitate to post incomplete room pictures. Anyway, here are a few of Baker's room.
The train set

The toy wall

And a few fun bouncy house pictures from last weekend with Hayes and Watson.

I have some cute Valentine's Day ideas up my sleeve. Pretty excited about them.

Weekend Treats

So, I got kind of crazy over the weekend making new recipes I found on Pinterest. P.S. I can't promise I will ever stop posting about Pinterest. I apologize.

Amy, Nathan and the kids came to visit on Saturday so I whipped up some new things. I was pleasantly surprised by each of them.

First, I have been dying to try the cop-cat O'Carr's chicken salad recipe. It was wonderful!

I also loved the idea of this black bean & feta dip. If you like a sweet and salty kind of taste (and I do. I mean I REALLY do) then you will like this.

Then for dessert we had frozen banana bites. I just didnt put the shaved coconut on top because I don't like coconut. I did put kosher salt on a few and I loved it. Again, I love the salty sweet combo these days.

And last but CERTAINLY not least, I tried these Cake Batter Pudding Cookies last night to have tonight for some company I am having. Brent is in Disney World with Zoe's 5th grade class so I'm having some girls over.
O.M.G. These are ridiculous!

I didnt want to post 4 different recipes for these things, but they are all on Pinterest or message me if you want the recipes. None of these disappointed me.

Who is crafty?

Apparently, me.

I am currently making this Valentine's wreath.

Super duper easy, but super duper time consuming. I already love it though and its only 1/8 finished.

I will be glad to make you one too, so put your order in!
Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Colossians 3: 12-14
