Cammy Cam

Aw, I wish this post was about Cammy Cam Newton, but alas...its about my new camera.
Here are some of my first snaps. Keep in mind I have no idea how to use this thing. In fact, I am overwhelmed at all the settings and how when I read the manual I only know what 20% of the words mean. I am so afraid I just won't learn this stuff an keep it on AUTO forever and just roll with it. The pics are still pretty good without anything fancy though. A lot better than my point and shoot.

I leave mine on auto 95% of the time because 95% of my photos are of a moving toddler who doesn't care that I need time in between shots to adjust my settings. Auto works great! Don't be overwhelmed by all of that stuff in the manual - just take A LOT of pics and I promise you'll find some really good ones in there. That's my secret :)

Lindsey! I learned how to use all my settings by reading some very simple tip blogs and by having Susan give a quick tutorial. I keep mine on manual all the time. I try to keep my ISO (light allowed into the camera) as low as possible better quality. Susan told me to try to keep the little meter right in the middle or a tad above. So I adjust the other setting until I get that. The timer the 1/30 or fraction number needs to be around 1/120 for moving subjects. But can be lower if they are relatively still. Then the other number like the 5.7 is the amount of blurry vs. in focus. I think it is the higher the number the more in focus and the smaller it is it will fade out the background little by little. So you can play around with it. And like Jessica said I take 1,000s of pictures and edit them and usually get a batch of winners. Inside I am not so good. I hate how the falsh washes everything out. So I try to use as much natural light as possible. But at night and inside I flip it over to auto until I can get better! Hope that is helpful. On my Pintrest I have some links to good dslr tips!

Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Colossians 3: 12-14
